Using a relational and non-intrusive approach, Philippi Trust Namibia (PTM) offers counselling training at a professional level to church and community. Our courses combine reputable secular methods and approaches with the Christian faith.

Accreditation 

Philippi Trust Namibia (PTN) is a leading non-governmental organization (NGO) in Namibia that provides quality counselling training and services. PTN has been accredited by the Namibia Qualifications Authority (NQA) as a training provider and registered with the Namibia Training Authority (NTA) as a Vocational Education and Training (VET) provider. These achievements demonstrate PTN’s commitment to excellence and quality assurance in delivering the National counselling qualifications.

PTN welcomes students from diverse backgrounds and countries who are interested in pursuing a career in counselling. National Certificate in Counselling Services – Community Counselling (NQF, Level 3):

This course is designed for people who want to provide counselling services in community settings, such as schools, churches, NGOs, or social welfare organizations. You will learn the basic principles and techniques of counselling, as well as how to deal with issues such as trauma, abuse, violence, and bereavement.

Training for Health Professionals:

Fundamentals of Counselling:

This course is for anyone who wants to learn the basics of counselling. You will learn what counselling is, what it is not, and what it can do. You will also learn how to establish rapport, listen actively, ask questions, and give feedback. You will also learn how to engage in counselling with people on HIV and AIDS, which is a crucial skill in today’s world.
